It’s the End of the World.
As I’m writing this Putin is on the verge of ending the world; but that isn’t the End of the World I’m here to discuss. On March 1st, the general public will be blessed with the first single of the “End of the World” album by Molly D’Ago, which is fittingly called, “End of the World.” I had the pleasure of previewing the track before it hits the silver, or blue and yellow, screens globally and; what an experience.
“End of the World” opens with melodic guitars; just what we would expect from the wicked axe-thrower Molly D’Ago. Without much time to waste, the vocals creep in: smooth yet crisp with a tiny splash of the rasp us NE Rockers dream of (especially growing up with the one and only Steven Tyler). Once the tune floats into the chorus the rocker steps it up a notch with a catchy hook and an even catchier message as she vow to go to “the end of the world” with me; I’m all in.
This tune is a true treat: from the hook to the sinker. Plus, it couldn’t be more fitting of what our brothers and sisters are going through right now in Eastern Europe. It brings a message of unity while acknowledging struggle. I hope I get to experience it live at a Molly D’Ago show real soon!
